election day!

My course may strangle the very life out of me but it's times like these i'm glad i'm informed.
Politics. i love and loathe you.

goals.

i'm back at uni with these cool kids...
Saying that, this next half of the year i'm fiercely {yes. fiercely} determined to cutdown on the drawing-instead-of-notetaking-subway-visiting-lecture-skipping-photoboothing-talking-in-class-tute-missing-late-assignment-submitting activites and adopt the opposite this semester.
uh-huh.

what's that?

sweet freedom is just around the corner!?
american foreign policy down now onto that crazy cat Hu Jintao and the power transition theory. fun times.

hello uni. i'm baaaaack!

Today I....

    • Caught the 7:15am train to school, bypassed my station, went all the way into the city only to come back
to my stop and realise yes. i've missed my bus.
    • Spent 2.5 hours on said transport by the day's end; told by a wee old grandpa to 'not worry, you're beautiful'
all shades of awkward i know but cute, right?
    • Went through one whooole bottle of water before noon.
    • Walked into the wrong lecture.
    • Learnt how to say 'fursa sa'eeda' so now i can parlare di base italiano e arabico!
please excuse my shady italian and arabic, fluent speakers!
    • Caught up with uni pals over hot chocolates.
    • Attentively tried to listen to a Lecturer with a very heavy-accent.
    • Failed and napped the last few minutes of 'do we really need democracy to promote economy?'

yep -after 5 very long months of holidays- i'm back at school.

    dear 'international relations'

aka. AIR109 you may have bored me to death but alas, i'll say it
    i miss you.

In other news, i caught 'Capitalism: a love story' with a few of the girls tonight. i'm no expert on US politics
{FUN FACT: i'm taking the class next semester} but I did not roll my eyes once at Mr Moores sarcastic tone or his baggy pants & baseball cap get up.
It might be 'cos i just watched a Bernie Madoff doco not so long ago but this did not make me yawn once. A big achievement since that's all i would do whenever economics would come up at school. or ever really. Or it might be that i had to pat myself on the back for knowing what the economist types were talking about.
Mr Lecturer would be so proud.

On second thoughts, AIR109, i think i can do without you for the next four or so months.
